A Venue of the Past
Sundance Theatre opened with Fiesta Texas in 1992 and was the home to several country shows throughout the park’s summer seasons. In 2015, a spring show entitled Roadhouse Country was the final country-themed show in the venue. Sundance Theatre became a popular spot for Fright Fest entertainment, including Last Chance Legends and Rock Apocalypse. In 2019, summer entertainment returned to Sundance Theatre with the production Summer Nights.
In June 2021, Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced that Sundance Theatre would be demolished before the year was over. In July, it was learned that the venue’s site would be home to the new Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger roller coaster. On August 7, Sundance Theatre would hold its final performance, Country Traxx.
